I can't really tell how close you were parked next to him, but he might have been annoyed that you parked by him. You have to remember that GTs have doors that include parts of the roof and therefore can be difficult to get in and out of if the door can't be opened completely. Ofcourse, if you were there first, then my whole theory is null and void. Maybe he was just shy.
Regardless, two great looking cars.
Edit: I just read your conversation with $kay and my theory is definitely incorrect.
